BEAD CROCHET
045 $32.50
ORDER
With Carol Perrenoud.
In bead crochet, beads are strung onto the crochet thread and
captured into specific stitches as one crochets along. The beads can form a
raised geometric design against a crocheted thread background or the beads
can be strung onto the thread in a precise color pattern. When the beads are
worked into every stitch they form a solid beaded picture or pattern. Even
if you do not know how to crochet, with a little practice you will be
crocheting with beads. Using simple crochet stitches, you will learn how to
make a bead crocheted drawstring pouch similar to styles used in the
Victorian Era. You will also learn how to make a necklace or bracelet
similar in style to the bead crocheted necklaces from the roaring twenties.
Materials will be discussed and patterns included. Helpful hints, beads and
a variety of stitches will inspire you for future projects. 75 minutes
