Scarf, Shawls & Afghans

From the book A Treasury of Magical Knitting, white lacey shoulder wrap. This was knit with 150 g of Madil Bijoux, which has since been discontinued. Substitute your favorite DK weight yarn, 47" size 7 circular. Suggest: Silky Wool, Cascade Indulgence, Pima Melange, Pima Tencel or Merino DK.

This was handwoven in a evening on a Rigid Heddle Loom. Using Silver Creek Merino Tencel for the warp. 2 skeins of Cascade Malizia and White brushed mohair yarn alternating for the weft.

What a cool ribbon yarn! Use it alone, strand it with another yarn, Beautiful in a scarf or shawl using large needles or handwoven.

60% viscose 40% polyester 50 g 51 yards. Hand wash cool water.

One skein to knit a Scarf. Using size 17 needles. Cast on 10. * Knit two rows, Knit third row with yarn over after every stitch. Row 4, Knit across, and drop the yarn over.* Repeat * until yarn is used, be sure to leave enough for cast off.

White Scarf: Handwoven using rigid heddle loom, Mohair Boucle with Madil Bijoux. 200 yds each. Plain weave 2 rows then change yarn, repeat until measures 72". Warp Brown Sheep Naturespun Fingering.

Shawl 12 oz of Bordeaux Red Mohair Boucle & "N" Crochet hook.

Measures 70" wide and 50" long. Can be made smaller or bigger.
